Update

We expect to have a link to buy the Special Print Issue 2 Static Movement tonight or tomorrow... we've been waiting on some advertisements for the issue, plus I had to gather some poetry submissions for it too. The link to buy will of course be on the front page when the book is ready.

I'm sorry it took longer than expected, but we are quite sure everyone will be pleased with the finished product, and of course the cover will be beautiful.

Please, when it comes out, help support Static Movement by buying a copy or two.

Updates

Time goes so fast, by the time you blog so much has happened, it's hard to remember it all.

The December issue is up, please support the ezine by reading it. Static Movement

Dreams and Screams is going strong. The Static Movement part of it is full, though the other zines might have room, so check them all out and query if you are interested in this great venture. The working cover is on the front page of Static, the guidelines for this anthology are in the guidelines.

The print issue of Static Movement is just about here. We had to do a do-over because of a few issues that needed fixing, and now have some advertising room. We selected places we would like to see the ads come from, so this will be interesting if we get any takers. To me this is all scary, after all, I never have thrown a party in my life for fear no one would show up. lol. The cover for the print issue, or at least the illustration for the cover is on the front page of Static Movement.

I now have almost 240 writing credits so I've been very busy writing and publishing. I hope everyone enjoys the December issue, and as usual, if you spot any mistakes, let me know!

Static Movement is doing well in submissions for the November issue I'm proud to say, keep those great stories coming! The print issue is almost ready to release to the public and it's beautiful.

The Next Time Anthology of time travel or alternate reality is doing well, it's about one fourth full so keep those submissions coming in, I'm excited about the cover too, which can be seen on the front page of Static Movement.

coming soon... Syndicate of Horror and Imaginative Tales

Dreams and Screams - Fantasy/Horror Anthology is doing well and wait until you see the awesome cover Jack S. Rogers cooked up, you are going to love it.

Something some of you writers might be interested in is a book anthology series being done by Sonar4Publications. Please go see if you'd be interested in submitting stories, this is a cute idea... I will have a story in each one!

New Anthology edited by Chris Bartholomew for Lame Goat Press

The Next Time: Alternate Reality/Time Travel An anthology edited by Chris Bartholomew for Lame Goat Press

Announcing the third in the "Guest Editor Series" of Lame Goat Press books.

I'm looking for stories (500-5000 words) involving alternate reality and/or time travel. This will be a speculative fiction book (i.e., sci-fi, fantasy, horror). Anything spec-fic will be considered, and you can mix genres.

Also, I'm looking for ONE poem with which to open the anthology. I'll only accept one story per writer, but if you were to send in a poem and a story, then I might accept both.

The deadline is January 1st, 2010 or until filled.

Word count for this anthology is expected to be around 80,000 words. Please send in your stories in .rtf format. Please include a cover letter with your name, address, e-mail address, and publication history. Also, a short author's biography of around 100 words (preferably in the 3rd person).

Look for this to go in print in mid-2010. As we are currently a publisher still in its infancy, Lame Goat Press cannot pay its writers. We are doing this purely for the love of the craft.

Please send submissions to Chris Bartholomew at author.chris@gmail.com with "ARTT" in the subject line. If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me about them. Good luck!

New printing venture between 6 of us...

John Arthur Miller (JAM) from Liquid Imagination has come up with a publishing idea involving 6 publications:

Static Movement, Lame Goat Press, House of Horror, Silver Blade, Liquid Imagination and Aurora Wolf

What we are going to do is take two stories from each publication listed here and two totally new stories never before published and put them all in a book entitled: Dreams and Screams - it's a Fantsay/Horror Anthology. Here is the pay scale:

Each story paid $10.00.
Cover artist would receive $10.00.
We'll have one poem to launch the work. Poet receives $10.00.

If you want to be a part of this on the Static Movement side, use the contact us email to let me know (put Dreams and Screams in the subject line). Tell me what story we published, when it was published, and send a copy of the story with your request to be included. There were only four slots open, one is already taken as we have asked Shells Walter to write us a new story, so act now to reserve your place in one of the other three slots.

This will be published by LIP (Liquid Imagination Publishing)

The deadline is somewhere around two months...
